Oregon had just passed the first bottle bill legislation in the United States. It was summer and I was eleven years old. I got a buck an hour for sorting returned bottles at a local grocery store and I was a happy camper. Not only did I have money of my own, I saw firsthand the effect of recyclable items out of our landfills.
It’s forty-four years later and I don’t understand why we’re still using Non-Recyclable Metal Aerosol Cans for foot care sprays that we know are harmful to our environment when we have good alternatives. Plus, the propellants used in all non-recyclable metal aerosol foot spray cans is Isobutane, Butane, Propane, or any one of the Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG) that are all flammable hydrocarbon gases. The entire delivery system used by foot care spray companies is inefficient, harmful to our eco-system and environment.
